GRANGES COLD MILL OPTIMIZATION ACHIEVED

Globus SRL completed the modernization of an existing cold mill at Gränges premises in Finspång (Sweden).

Gränges is the largest manufacturer of rolled aluminium for aluminium heat exchangers. Half of the current worldwide car production today contains material manufactured by Gränges.

The main interventions object of the contract were the supply of a fully customized high performance Strip Blow-off System for cold mill back-up rolls and a Positioning control system of the induction heads for top and bottom working rolls.

This upgrade demonstrated from the beginning an important reduction of residual oil on the strip surfaces. In Positive impacts, in addition to the process, are both on costs and environment. Granges Team is fully satisfied about the results and we are proud for having collaborated with them.
This installation enlarges the list of customized Blow-off systems and equipment for mill retrofits manufactured by Globus.
