GLOBUS PRESENT AT THE 12TH WORLD TRADE FAIR & CONFERENCE ALUMINIUM 2018 IN DUSSELDORF, GERMANY

ALUMINIUM is the world's leading trade show and B2B-platform for the aluminium industry and its main applications.
This is where all the key industry players get together. The trade fair unites producers, processors, technology suppliers and consumers along the entire value chain. GLOBUS confirms its presence with the booth No. P01 in pavilion 13. In addition to Coil Coating Lines, Tension Levelling Lines and Anodizing Lines, COILOR Digital Printing on continuous coil will be introduced for the first time at the exposition.

The technologies currently used to enhance pre-painted coils are Rotogravure printing, Hot lamination with pre-painted plastic films and Sheet digital printing. There are limitations to these processes. With Digital Printing, we set the goal at developing a printing technology that can be integrated into a continuous coil coating process with no negative interference with it. We can print any digital image, be it a photo or a computer designed pattern or a mix of the two. The RIP (raster image processing) software is incorporated in the machine software. We can print on a continuously running pre-painted strip. We can manage – and program – the printing at will: a single pattern can be as short as half a meter (20 inches) or as long as 10 m (33 feet) or more depending on computer power; it can be printed once or multiple times or for any length. A properly created image can result in an endless pattern. We can program in advance the next job or image while the system is printing, so that shifting from one image to the next is seamless. Digital Printing ensures a much more lively image and the impression to be looking at a “genuine” piece of material.
