NEW CONTRACT SIGNED FOR A TENSION LEVELING / SLITTING LINE IN THE NETHERLANDS

The Dutch company NedZink (www.nedzink.com) and the Italian company Globus S.r.l. entered into a contract for the turn-key supply of (1) Tension Leveling / Slitting Line to be installed at NedZink’s premises in Budel-Dorplein (The Netherlands).
NedZink is a leading supplier of rolled titanium zinc products for architectural applications, with a focus on quality and innovation and a tradition of more than 120 years in the field of titanium zinc production and processing.
The line, designed for semi-continuous operation, will have the capability of processing Titan-Zinc strips with thickness up to 1.75 mm and width up to 1,250 mm, slitting them into a maximum of 29 strands. The Slitter includes an automated carrousel for quick replacement of the blade assembly, thus minimizing the downtime associated with campaign changes. With this project, Globus expands the field of application of its Leveling Units, already successfully tested on steel and aluminium strips, and its reference list in zinc processing, which already includes a Coil Coating Line. The line will be jointly designed by Globus S.r.l. and Faspar S.p.A. which, with this contract, strengthen their already well-established cooperation. This will be a challenging project for Globus and FASPAR, with a time schedule of 11 months to complete the line start-up.
